Equity Staffing Group has an excellent opportunity with one of our clients as a Process Engineer 2! This role requires 3+ years of experience working with piping instrumentation diagrams, process simulation and process flow diagrams! This position is a remote role!

Must have experience:
Piping Instrumentation Diagrams
Process simulation
Process Flow diagram experience

The primary purpose of this role is to analyze our current processes and determine areas that need modification. In collaboration with our project teams, you will create solutions and lead the development of piping and instrument diagrams. You will also oversee the implementation of the new processes and test them to ensure efficiency.

Key responsibilities include Analyze and evaluate existing processes, including by not limited to review of of process flow diagram (PFD), process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), process control logic, equipment specification (pumps, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, mixers, separations process, batch, and distillation columns), instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, reaction), devices (actuators, relays, valves, transmitters), and related control systems (PLC, I/O, programing). Research, design, and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow, Oversee operations and maintenance of facility processes, Determine the organization and setup of operations, Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures. Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations

Job Details:
Experience and ability to apply engineering techniques commonly used in industrial chemical processes, such as piping engineering, pump hydraulic calculations, sizing and specification of pumps, heat transfer calculations, safety relief system sizing, and sizing and specifications for process equipment.
Experience supporting the development of specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
Experience supporting the installation of chemical process systems and verifying compliance of as-built systems against specifications and codes.
Experience starting up GxP and non-GxP systems, performing commissioning and process qualification in regulated pharma/medical device industry.
Ability to read, understand and interpret specifications, engineering drawings, P&IDs.
Through understanding of applicable codes, regulations, specifications, and good engineering practices as applied to chemical/processes in the medical device/ pharmaceutical industry.
Understanding of the design and operation of electrical, and instrumentation & control systems in petrochemical/flammable solvent processes, including installation/operation of Class I Div I/II systems.
Basic knowledge of process control logic, PLCs, interlocks, and PLC programing.
Understanding of process safety management, inherently safe design, and best practices in the design of flammable solvent and hazardous processes.
Experience with PHA, PSSR, Facility Siting, and PIS.
Working knowledge process simulation software is a plus.
Ability to create accurate process engineering documents (layout drawings, piping models, P&IDs, equipment sizing calculations, relief devices, equipment specification, construction specification) from process description is beneficial.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks (or both) for process design is a plus.
Self-motivated and skilled at working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and/or independently, as needed.
Detail oriented with strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
