Equity Staffing is looking for a Customer Service Representative in Fort Worth, TX. This position is with a Fortune 100 organization. Primary Responsibilities:
Answer and greet all incoming calls to the New Business department.
Provide status updates for pending applications by accessing information on various systems to field agents, Regional Managers and applicants. Inform agents and applicants of UW decision on a settled, withdrawn or declined policy.
Effectively communicate problems and requirements needed in order to complete the UW process to incoming callers.
Concisely explain department procedures and standards to set accurate expectations for callers.
Confirm plan type and provide basic descriptions of the benefits applied for and rates calculated for specific applications as well as variables that UW may apply that may change premium required to issue a policy..
Communicate requirements, procedures and guidelines for New Business and Underwriting department’s to field agents.
Transfer calls to specific individuals within New Bus and UW depending on the need of the caller.
Transfer calls to other departments as needed based on needs of the caller.
Refer and provide contact information to applicants inquiring about possible coverage to appropriate Regional Manager depending on location and type of product desired.
Provide clear and consistent documentation of each call in appropriate locations in order to maintain a high level of Customer Support and communication within the department.

Required Qualifications:
2 years of previous phone experience in a service-related capacity for Health Insurance
Basic knowledge of health insurance plan structure, availability and terminology.
Past experience with call center demands.
Basic knowledge of all New Business programs and applications.
Basic knowledge of all New Business and Underwriting processes, procedures and guidelines or ability to learn them quickly
usually self-directed on an as-needed basis.
Ability to effectively work with people inside and outside of the department and provide prompt, accurate and courteous Customer Support.
Knowledge of basic office procedures and office equipment.
Comprehension Skills
Ability to efficiently learn, use and navigate through all New Business programs and applications.
Ability to handle calls appropriately based on need and volume of calls.
Ability to communicate and adjust schedules with other staff members answering calls to accommodate call volume.
Excellent spelling, grammar and communication skills.
Problem Solving Skills.

Remote/Onsite: Onsite



Shift Start/End Time: 8 Hour shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am-7pm. Every 3rd Saturday 8am-1pm.
